Premium seating and other stadium improvements are needed to sustain UC’s financial future
The University of Cincinnati will soon begin efforts to raise up to $70 million to fund a major renovation of Nippert Stadium. The keystone of the overhaul is the construction of 30 suites and club seats which will help generate revenue annually for an athletic department seeking a sustainable future. Additional upgrades will also be made to concession stands and other fan amenities.
Nippert Stadium, at its present capacity of 35,000, is one of the smallest among universities in BCS Conferences. The stadium enhancements as well as the recent hiring of Tommy Tuberville could make the Bearcats more attractive to the ACC in conference realignment.
