Allianz Arena becomes Germany’s first stadium to adopt contactless tickets

FC Bayern Munich is offering contactless entry to Allianz Arena following the club’s partnership with SKIDATA. The technology allows fans to add their tickets securely to their iPhone or Apple Watch and scan their tickets to enter the venue.

While SKIDATA’s NFC readers offer the most convenient scanning method, barcode and RFID technology is also supported by the open platform.

Classic paper tickets will still be accepted at the venue, but the club hopes to transition exclusively toward ticketless entry.
