ALSD Spotlight 2021: What Will Catch the Eye of Our Judges Panel This Year?

ALSD Spotlight is back, the 2021 edition primed to again share the year’s best ideas from across the sports and entertainment venue marketplace.

While ALSD Spotlight assembles the industry’s best designs and premium experiences every year, 2021 is especially meaningful for ALSD members to submit their best work while learning from the success stories of their peers.

Rob Hunden, President of Hunden Strategic Partners and Judge for ALSD Spotlight 2021, estimates $8 billion in new facilities opened in the past year with an additional $11 billion in new construction in process, on top of the $2 billion in venue renovations happening every year.

“There’s a bunch of this stuff that’s coming out now,” says Russ Simons, Chief Listening Officer at Venue Solutions Group and fellow 2021 Spotlight Judge. “And it just shows that just because we’ve been closed down because of the pandemic, work hasn’t stopped.”

As the ALSD kicks off Spotlight 2021, review the current trends and state of the sports business industry with Hunden and Simons, as well as Jim Renne, National Director at JLL, and Mike Plutino, CEO at Food Service Matters, who round out our judges’ panel and share their enthusiasm and expectations for this year’s submissions. Discover how you can best position your work to grab their attention and consider it for the year’s best in our eight categories.
