Chicago Bears looking to add seats to Soldier Field

Chicago, and its mayor Rahm Emanuel, seem to be serious about wanting to host the next cold-weather, outdoor Super Bowl.

Emanuel is working with the Chicago Park District, operator of Soldier Field, to investigate the feasibility of adding 5,000 seats to Soldier Field.

The current capacity of Soldier Field is 61,500, but the NFL historically selects venues closer to 70,000 and above for the Super Bowl.
