When ALSD Conference attendees visit the home of the Miami Dolphins in 2017, it will have a new name to go along with its transformed look. The Dolphins have sold the renovated stadium’s naming rights to Hard Rock International, and the venue will now be known as Hard Rock Stadium.
The terms and duration of the naming rights deal were not disclosed, but are assumed to be comparable to other recent partnerships across the NFL, such as Levi’s deal with the San Francisco 49ers (11 years, $220 million) and U.S. Bank’s deal with the Minnesota Vikings (20 years, $220 million).
Hard Rock Stadium is set to complete a massive two-year, $500 million overhaul. The renovated stadium now features a roof canopy and multiple upgraded premium areas. The project was privately financed by Dolphins owner Stephen Ross.
