The Detroit Lions are building a new club, the MGM Grand Detroit Tunnel Club, adjacent to the team’s locker room. The space is on trend with others in the industry that offer patrons access to players as they enter and exit the locker room.
The tunnel club will have the usual amenities – bars, video screens, premium décor, but at Ford Field, the club will have a glassed hallway running through the middle of it as well as a seating area in the tunnel itself for up-close-and-personal interaction with players.
Tunnel club tickets are available for $19,000 in two-ticket packages. All food and beverage, except liquor, is included. A separate row of additional seats with direct access to the club is being built for tunnel club seat holders in the west end zone.
Construction costs will be approximately $2 million. The project’s architect is Alliance Architecture, and its general contractor is The Alan Group.
