The Jacksonville Jaguars have submitted plans to upgrade the club level at EverBank Field as early as the 2015 NFL season. The team is bidding for state funding to pay for the project. The team’s bid says that $15 million from the state is needed, and the Jaguars will pay an additional $3 million.
Details of the renovation include the addition of glass walls and doors on the club level, improving currently obstructed views. Renderings show improved indoor bar amenities, as well as new club decks with exterior drink rails and bar-style seating. More event space on the club level would also result from the renovation.
Three other venues have submitted a bid for state money: Daytona International Speedway, Sun Life Stadium, and the Orlando City SC soccer stadium. The Florida Department of Economic Opportunity will assess the economic impact for each bid and submit rankings to lawmakers.
