Josh is a blind disability advocate, has been in the advertising industry for 20+ years and is completing a PhD from Clemson University focusing on advertising and disability. As director of strategy he leads disability inclusive creative strategies for clients, agencies and industry professionals. He serves on boards including the American Advertising Federation Mosaic Council, Adweek Diversity Equity and Inclusion Council, Global Alliance on Disability in Media and Entertainment special advisor, TravelAbility Summit advisory board member, Dollywood disability advisory panel, City of Knoxville Mayor's Council on Disability Issues and is among the inaugural speakers of the ADCOLOR APEX minority speakers bureau. Josh mentors disabled students and was awarded the American Advertising Federation National Silver Medal and received the prestigious National Federation of the Blind scholarship in 2020. He writes for Adweek and is widely considered a subject matter expert on disability and advertising. He is fully blind in one eye and legally blind in the other, but clearly sees the best in everyone.
