Together with Nielsen Sports, Kansas City-based architectural firm Populous surveyed a representative cross-section of sports fans in the United States who attended at least three games or events in the past year. Also monitored was social media activity from a variety of venues to further gauge lifestyle preferences, spending habits, and the current in-venue experience.

The subsequent analysis of data uncovered new preference patterns, which Populous designers translated into ideas based on present and future market demand, improving current fan experiences and driving sustainable revenue growth moving forward.
