The Oakland A’s are revamping their season ticket model. Now, instead of committing to a specific seat for the entire season, you can buy a package that gives you general admission and reserved seating access throughout the season with parking, merchandise, and concession discounts. The package is called “A’s Access” and start at $240 with seat upgrades available. After taking into account the fact that season ticket holders simply resell their seats, the advantages of having a single seat for the season as part of your package drops. The A’s chief operating officer, Chris Giles, commented on the importance of flexibility and ability to socialize that is more unique to baseball. People are looking for flexible plans that can work around their schedule.
