The new home for Orlando City remains under construction, but one important section of seats has been unveiled.
Section 12 of the new build in downtown Orlando will include 49 rainbow-colored seats to honor the 49 victims in the Pulse nightclub shooting in June.
The seats are one of many ways that Orlando City has paid tribute to those lost in the heartbreak. In the immediate aftermath of the shooting, the club flew the LGBTQ flag throughout the stadium. There was also a moment of silence during the 49th minute of the first match after the tragedy.
The club is scheduled to move its home from the Orlando Citrus Bowl to the new stadium before the 2017 season.
