Overwatch League Grand Finals Coming to Philadelphia

Blizzard Entertainment has announced that the Overwatch League (OWL) Grand Finals will be held at the Wells Fargo Center on September 29. The winning team at the culmination of OWL’s 12-team playoffs will be awarded $1.1 million and the runner-up $600,000.

The Grand Finals will be livestreamed exclusively on Twitch (except in China) and also broadcast on the ABC television network, ESPN app, and Overwatch.com. The event will also be broadcast globally in Canada, China, France, Germany, and Russia.

Hosting the Grand Finals continues the esports momentum for Philadelphia whose Fusion OWL franchise, owned by Comcast-Spectacor, recently announced its intention to build a $50 million purpose-built esports stadium in time for the 2021 season.
