A Portion of the 300 Level Suites to eventually become an "innovations lab".
Palace Sports & Entertainment has announced a $13 million renovation to the 24-year-old Palace of Auburn Hills. In response to corporate buyers’ desires for high-tech environments on the hospitality stage, among the upgrades are remakes of the 100 and 300 Suite Levels and technology amenities centered on social interaction.
On the 100 Level, 40 suites will be renovated, while on the 300 Level, 16 suites will be eliminated and repurposed into open-air club space. Additional 300 Level suites may also be consolidated into what Palace Sports & Entertainment is calling an “Innovations Lab.”
Further technology enhancements include arena-wide wireless service, digital boards on the concourse, and new screens inside suites, allowing fans to interact via text messaging.
Construction is expected to be finished by the start of the NBA season in October.
