The Milwaukee Bucks have opened their preview center in support of their new $500-plus-million arena and entertainment district with the potential for an additional $500 million in private investment in downtown Milwaukee.
The Wisconsin Entertainment and Sports Center (WESC), which will likely be re-branded with naming rights down the road, broke ground on June 18th and will open in September 2018.
The 13,000-square-foot WESC Preview Center occupies the fourth floor of the Bucks’ Schlitz Park Stock-House Building offices. As a physical showroom for premium seating prospects, the center includes a built-to-scale luxury suite. And as a digital showcase, it offers visitors virtual tours of the venue, touch-screen presentations, and interactive models with augmented reality overlays.
Paying homage to the city’s beer industry roots, an arrangement of Schlitz bottles represents the number of suites that have been sold. The interior design also connects with regional inspirations, including Cream City brick, reclaimed barn wood from Wisconsin farms, and original Schlitz concrete.
