As the name indicates, 3D Digital Venue is a platform that automatically extracts venue details from architectural documents and creates 3D virtual reality representations of those venues. These virtualizations are applied in four main areas of a team’s business – new venue builds or major renovation designs, premium seating sales, season ticket sales, and single-game sales.
When Atlético Madrid and its architects were designing the new Wanda Metropolitano, the basic 3D volumetries created by the 3D Digital Venue solution detected obstructed views for 4,100 seats, which impacted nearly one-third of the premium areas. By correcting the design anomaly, the club saved approximately €1 million.
The Texas Rangers called on the 3D Digital Venue solution to elevate its sales preview center for the new $1.2 billion Globe Life Field, one of the host venues for the 30th Annual ALSD Conference and Tradeshow in June 2020. In the preview center, prospective Rangers season ticket holders and premium seat clients enjoy a cinematic fly-through experience projected in 4K brilliance. The 3D models are also integrated, together with Tickets.com, into the season ticket sales process.
To access the 3D Digital Venue platform, clients pay a simple annual license fee that covers setup and amendments in the likely event of changes throughout the design process. Through the use of video game engines instead of traditional rendering engines, modifications are made in 24 hours or less.
