Except for a few suites held back for sponsors, all suites in the Detroit Events Center have been sold, as have all theater boxes. The large premium units are nearly twice the size of the suites at Joe Louis Arena, approaching 700 square feet and accommodating 18 to 30 people.
The new arena for the Detroit Red Wings is just one part of a 50-block revitalization of downtown Detroit being led by the Ilitches. The new development, dubbed The District Detroit, will have an economic impact of approximately $2 billion for the city and the entire region.
The Detroit Events Center in The District Detroit will open in September 2017.
