SunTrust Park is tracking on time and on budget

With cranes in place and over 1,000 construction workers on the job site, SunTrust Park, the upcoming new ballpark for the Atlanta Braves, is making progress towards its completion. The 41,500-seat facility, which anchors the new Battery Atlanta mixed-use development, is scheduled for completion in time for Opening Day next season.

Seating bowl design highlights include an intimate setting with seats in the middle and upper levels being installed 30 to 50 feet closer to the field than in Turner Field, the Braves’ current home. Covering much of the seating bowl will be MLB’s largest roof canopy, providing shade for 60% of spectators.

Populous is the lead architect of record for the project.

2017 season ticket sales were opened to the general public earlier in May. Premium seat prices range from $92 to $500 per game, while general seating options are priced from $7 to $98 per game.
