The upgrade is the first complete overhaul of the arena’s suites since the building opened in 1995.
TD Garden owner Delaware North Companies has updated half of the 89 executive suites in time for the beginning of this new Boston Celtics season. Having only minor cosmetic improvements to date, this is the first major overhaul of suites since TD Garden opened in 1995.
Upgrades include reconfigured seating, larger TVs, and corporate branding opportunities. Foodservice improvements include installation of induction-cooking surfaces to replace chafing dishes and Sterno heaters. A Cisco Systems IP phone now controls the TVs and will be programmed for food and merchandise orders.
The nearly $10 million project, completed by Boston’s Shawmut Design and Construction, will complete the other half of the suites next offseason.
