Tim Romani, President and CEO of ICON Venue Group, will present the morning keynote address at the Design & Build Forum on Monday, July 7, 2014. The Design & Build Forum, which connects teams, facilities, and architects facing new build and renovation projects, is being held in conjunction with the 24th Annual ALSD Conference and Tradeshow, July 6-9.
"At ICON Venue Group, Romani has been involved in some of the largest new builds and renovation programs in the U.S.," says Bill Dorsey, Chairman of ALSD.
Sports Authority Field at Mile High (Denver, CO), Sprint Center (Kansas City, MO), The O2 (London, England), and Prudential Center (Newark, NJ) are four projects in his considerable project portfolio that spans three decades.
"Tim has been doing this for long time (30 years) and is a terrific speaker," continues Dorsey. "I believe he is the perfect person to open our Design & Build Forum, and we are very grateful he accepted our invitation.
"Team owners need someone like Tim at ICON to understand the costs of change orders and the need to control costs and design. I think of him as a mechanic almost, while the team owners are the customers watching the mechanic fix their cars. He knows his way around venue design, architects, and construction companies. He knows how to fix things when they are broken because he understands the process."
