UConn scraps plan to move memorial for club seats

Uconn has just postponed its plans to put in a club for their season ticket holders at Rentschler field. The club would have seated 240 people at an extra cost of $60 per ticket, and included table service and television. The plans were to relocate the memorial statue for Jasper Howard, a player stabbed in an altercation after winning a homecoming game in 2009, to make room for the seats. Many fans spoke out against this. They plan to work on an appropriate plan in the meantime.
