Construction has commenced on renovations at Delaware Stadium, including 1,100 new club seats in the venue’s first eight rows. Chair-back seats are being added in three middle sections, and new premium products will also be introduced. In total, stadium capacity will be reduced to 21,000 when the project is completed, which is expected for the start of the 2019 season.
The new seats will be first available to those donors who gifted $10,000 or more to the project. Afterwards, Delaware’s approximately 1,500 season ticket holders can select seats based on the number of years as a season ticket holder.
Season ticket prices for all inventory are $99-$210 for bleacher seats, $210-$259 for chair-back seats, $280-$420 for new boxes, $412-$562 for new club seats, and $637 for new loge seats.
Phase two of the $60 million project broke ground on the stadium’s west side in December 2018. The signature piece of this phase is the Whitney Athletic Center – a new 90,000-square-foot building to include a new wellness center, athletic training, sports medicine, nutrition, sports psychology, and strength facilities for UD athletics.
