University of Texas Begins Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium Renovation

The University of Texas has broken ground on its renovation to the south end zone at Darrell K Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium. The $175 million project will enclose the home of the Texas Longhorns for the first time in the facility’s storied history and bring new amenities to players, coaches, and fans.

Project features include new entry towers with viewing terraces filling in the corners, new seats and club spaces, a Longhorn-shaped balcony designed into the end zone, and new football coaches’ offices.

Construction is scheduled for completion in time for the 2021 Longhorn season.
