Although still playing in Oakland for at least the next two seasons, for all intents and purposes, the NFL’s Raiders are the Las Vegas Raiders.
Expected to take three years to build, the Raiders’ new 65,000-seat stadium will sit on the southern end of the Las Vegas Strip. Renderings show an array of signature elements designed by MANICA Architecture.
Highlights include an open-air entrance, a wall of windows at one end, a giant videoboard on one side to entertain fans outside the venue walls, and an eternal flame to honor longtime franchise owner Al Davis, who passed away in 2011.
The total cost of construction is estimated to be $1.9 billion.
