VIDEO: Green Bay Packers cut the ribbon on the Johnsonville Tailgate Village

As training camp kicked off, the Green Bay Packers opened the new Johnsonville Tailgate Village in the east parking lot of Lambeau Field.

The 13,242-square-foot building replaces the Tundra Tailgate Zone tent found in the same space in recent years. The new structure boasts a bevy of modern amenities, including a full kitchen, bar, restrooms, climate control, and garage doors that open to the air of game day. Foodservice provider Delaware North will prepare stadium fare, but at lower prices than inside Lambeau Field.

The Johnsonville Tailgate Village, which was built in only five months, is the Packers’ response to changing fan expectations and desires for social experiences, in and outside the venue walls. It will be open four hours before games and be programmed with music, autograph signings, and other events.

The 2,000-person facility is also being sold for other non-gameday events, such as weddings. It can seat more than 500 people.
