Comcast Spectacor has announced the next round of renovations for its $250 million “Transformation 2020” at Wells Fargo Center. The multi-year project touches multiple seating and concourse levels at the home of the Philadelphia Flyers and 76ers, as well as the audiovisual experience that will add a new Kinetic 4K videoboard.
The current round of improvements is scheduled for completion by the fall of this year. Notable inclusions are 8,000 new seats in the lower bowl, a new approach to dining and social interaction on the arena’s main concourse, and a new 15,000-square-foot LED video and lighting system that responds to the action of the game.
The main concourse’s central plaza will expand by 4,000 square feet, adding a social destination with a public market feel for fans to enjoy the food and beverage produced in a new flex kitchen with the ability to alter its offerings from event to event.
The concourse club area will also receive treatment, highlighted by a full-service bar and industrial finishes.
