ALSD 2019: Winds of Change

The 29th Annual ALSD Conference and Tradeshow blew into the Windy City of Chicago on June 30 – July 3, 2019, bringing together the top minds in sports business from around the globe.

Over the course of four days of idea sharing and idea generating, the Marriott Marquis Chicago hosted the usual full ALSD slate of speakers, super panels, and exhibit booths from across the ever-changing sports and entertainment venue landscape.

This year’s agenda again featured the 6th Annual Sports Venue Design & Build Forum and the 5th Annual Sports Sales Training Forum, as well as tours and networking events at four of the industry’s best venues, combining all layers of the sportsbiz community into one laboratory of cross-collaboration, problem solving, and new business opportunities.

Highlights of this year’s event included those tours of Solider Field, Wrigley Field, United Center, and Wintrust Arena, as well as keynotes from Baseball Hall of Fame Member and White Sox executive Jim Thome, Hockey Hall of Fame Member and Sports Innovation Lab CEO Angela Ruggiero, and Tom Glick, President of the Carolina Panthers, who was recognized with this year’s ALSD Visionary Award.

One of life’s certainties is its changes, so this is not the finish line. The ALSD is just getting started in 2019. We invite you to join us in Dublin on October 28 – 29 for ALSD International. And it’s never too early to start planning your trip to Dallas-Fort Worth for ALSD 2020. The best is yet to come.
