Dan Maret is the Director of Premium Services at Crypto.com Arena, a world-class venue owned and operated by Anschutz Entertainment Group, Inc. (“AEG”), the largest sports and entertainment company in the world. Crypto.com Arena is the home of four professional sports franchises – the NBA’s Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, the NHL’s Los Angeles Kings and the WNBA’s Los Angeles Sparks – and hosts over 250 events and over 4 million guests annually with events ranging from professional sports, live music, family shows, boxing and special events, including the GRAMMY Awards, NBA All-Star Games and NHL All-Star Games among others.
Maret is responsible for preserving and maximizing revenue derived from Premium Members’ annual license fees for Crypto.com Arena’s Premium Business and Events division, including over 2,400-plus premier seats, 27 Tables & Lounges in the Yaamava’ Club by San Manuel, 154 Private Suites, 4 Tunnel Suites, 4 Terrace Suites and The Hyde Lounge. In addition to managing annual renewal campaigns and revenue maintenance, he also helps oversee the elevation of guest experiences at Crypto.com Arena, ensuring a premium visit for all guests. Managing 8 executives dedicated to premium client renewals, service and sales, Maret’s team is directly responsible for maintaining over $125 million in annual revenue, part of the $156 million+ generated by The Crypto.com Arena Premium division each year.
Maret joined AEG in 2019 as a senior premium services manager and has showcased exceptional leadership, earning a promotion to his current position in July of 2022. His tenure at the company is marked by a number of notable achievements including leading a highly successful renewal campaign in 2022, grossing over $18 million in revenue. Additionally, he most recently supported the premium team in launching a new service platform with the introduction of 8 new premium spaces at Crypto.com Arena, including its first ever Tunnel (4) and Terrace (4) suites. Launched officially in October of 2023, the newest luxury suites were created as part of Crypto.com Arena’s on-going three-phase, nine-figure renovation project. Maret and his team played a hands-on role relocating existing premium clients impacted by the new construction, successfully recovering $1.6 million in client accounts and counting. His team also helped the premium team fulfill the associated multimillion-dollar contracts for the 8 new suites, bringing qualified new leads to the table. As a result, the Crypto.com Arena Premium Team generated a record-breaking $300 million in COI selling out more than half of the available new seats before even breaking ground.
Before joining AEG, Maret began his career with the Cleveland Cavaliers in 2011 as an inside sales executive. He was subsequently promoted four times over an eight-year period becoming a manager of premium hospitality development in 2018. While in that position, he played a leading role in the renovation of the Cavaliers’ arena, notably generating $20 million in COI in premium seating sales in 2018 through that project specifically.
Maret is a graduate of Indiana University (Bloomington), where he earned a BS in sports communication. He is also a survivor of childhood cancer and remains actively involved in the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where he combines his professional prowess with a commitment to giving back to cancer patients and their families in his free time.
