Among the wide range of hospitality offerings at SunTrust Park are seven clubs, ranging in scale from 5,700 to 15,700 square feet. These spaces are heavily influenced by the rich history of the Atlanta Braves and weave traditional baseball amenities with southern hospitality. After an immersive study of the regional culture, Populous discovered a unique hospitality style defined by equal parts comfort and cosmopolitan. A consistent design language was established throughout these premium hospitality spaces, creating clubs that are linked while still diverse.
The Delta SKY360° Club is located behind home plate and one of the most premium clubs in the ballpark. A 50-year sponsor of the Atlanta Braves organization, Delta Air Lines is the exclusive sponsor of the club. It was important to the project team that Delta’s brand be delicately integrated throughout the space. Braves fans and guests notice tasteful triangular forms and patterns inspired by the Delta logo and hints of crimson and navy tones throughout. Specifically, the sports bar highlights the Braves “A” logo mark made of dozens of traditional Delta pilot wings. Additionally, guests not only find pattern references to the Delta logo mark in the materials, but also in the lighting solutions. Populous strategically placed subtle but deliberate triangular shadows cast onto walnut columns, in addition to blackened steel panels, etched with brand references.
Populous broke down the club by introducing features such as a display kitchen with a hand blackened steel hood flanked with custom banquettes and buffets. Diverse surface textures are paired together, and handmade materials are highlighted by grazed light, providing a built-in patina and a feeling of comfort. The Delta Club features deliberate historical artifacts woven through the interiors, such as a brass rod installation that holds the coveted Gold Gloves.
Additionally, the Delta Club features state-of-the-art technology layered with rich natural materials. Some key elements include dramatic walnut ceilings with custom fixtures and memorabilia displays. The club offers an exceptional dining experience, featuring two active display kitchens, a 30-foot long feature bar with a marble slab top, and a more casual sports bar that features two seven-foot by 20-foot LED video boards. Two premium seating sections, totaling approximately 1,500 seats and located between the dugouts on the lower level, have access to the club. Those seats feature wide, high-back upholstered seats and include in-seat service with all-inclusive food, beer and wine, and premium parking.
The Delta SKY360° Club features the perfect marriage of classic ballpark feel, modern amenities, and southern hospitality. Fusing together right-sized amenities, tasteful sponsor integration, and attention to detail, the Delta Club elevates the fan experience at SunTrust Park.
